A Waldoboro man who allegedly riddled his dog with BBs has been indicted by the Lincoln County grand jury.

Aaron Armstrong, 33, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and violation of condition of release after allegedly shooting his dog more than 80 times with a BB gun in June.

Armstrong was held on $15,000 bail, while his dog was rescued and adopted through the Lincoln County Animal Shelter.

Armstrong was arrested June 13 after an X-ray showed more than 80 BBs under the dog's skin.
