Grateful for Nathan’s Pharmacy
Dear Editor:
I love these people!
We met while they were just beginning to organize their new pharmacy, and I asked Andrew if he would consider partnering with The Community Center to help supply free durable medical equipment to the residents of the area, and seasonal visitors. (I noticed that he had just set up a display of canes and walkers for sale, so I was not sure how he would react).
Andrew’s reply: “Definitely! I love the idea.”
The next thing he knew I showed up with a trailer-load of stuff, and much of his ample storage space was instantly cluttered by a Shawn mess of awkward medical equipment that does not stack well, and I am sure he wondered what he had gotten himself into.
Well, two years later our partnership is going well, and we are in touch at least weekly looking for whatever special need had arisen. When someone needs a commode, they need it now!
I don’t know what I would have done without his help during the COVID shutdown. The Community Center was closed. I was mostly home. And Andrew and his team were on the front line every day, helping me help the citizens of the Boothbay peninsula get whatever medical equipment they needed stat!
We are so lucky to have this lovely family and their team here in Boothbay Harbor.
Thank you Andrew and Maria!
