It appears Wiscasset voters in November will consider asking selectmen to tap reserve money to cover the cost of withdrawing from the school district.

That will be the same election in which voters decide whether or not to go through with the withdrawal from the Sheepscot Valley Regiona School Unit.

The petition was filed September 10 by a group of residents and it does have enough signatures to go on to the board of selectmen for placement on the November ballot, Town Clerk Christine Wolfe said.
