Healthy Kids’ 13th annual Chocolate Fest February 8
Healthy Kids is pleased to announce the date for its largest annual fundraiser.
The Lincoln Theater in Damariscotta is a new venue for Chocolate Fest on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 7 to 10 p.m. In addition to the always highly anticipated silent auction, delectable chocolate confections and champagne there will also be live music and live action items.
Chocolate Fest is made possible by many generous donors and volunteers throughout the Midcoast region. Local musicians the Horseshoe Crabs and Katie Daggett are donating their time and talent by providing live music. Area restaurants, inns, businesses and individuals are supplying a variety of chocolate confections. Jean Kerrigan and her wonderful staff of volunteers from the Damariscotta River Grill will graciously serve champagne for the 13th year. Kerrigan helped organize the first Chocolate Fest when she was on the board over a decade ago. Local auctioneer John Bottore will oversee the live auction.
Chocolate Fest is a fabulous way to spend a February evening in the community, have an excuse to dress up and help to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Healthy Kids was established in 1985 and is the child abuse and neglect prevention council of Lincoln County. The nonprofit organization’s mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect and encourage, support and promote healthy family environments.
Chocolate Fest is proud to be sponsored by Bath Savings Institution and H.M. Payson. Tickets are available at the Maine Coast Book Shop, Lincoln Theater box office and Healthy Kids’ 127 Elm Street location. Advance purchase ticket price is $25 and $35 at the door.
