Maine Artists
Heildi Seidelhuber at Studio 53
New paintings “At the Water Line” and steel constructions by Heidi Seidelhuber are on display through October 19.
Seidelhuber's paintings explore color, light and composition via Maine Midcoast scenes and values. Her steel ship's ladders swings and bags from the series “Got My Home in My Hand” spoof her four-decade day job in steel fabricating.
A graduate of RISD and The Art Institute of Chicago, Seidelhuber has shown her art locally for years. She shares ownership of Studio 53 with her husband, Terry Seaman. In the late 1960s, the two ran the Big Ugly Kid gallery on the Boothbay Harbor waterfront.
