High school announces state delegates

Nathan Howard and Nathan Panarese, juniors at Wiscasset High School, were chosen as delegates to the 2013 Dirigo Boys' State program, which will be held at the Thomas College in Waterville from June 16-20.
These students were chosen by a vote of the faculty based on involvement in school and community, interest in government and attitude versus scholastic achievement.
Abby Dunn and Briana Goud will represent Wiscasset High School at Dirigo Girls' State, a hands-on opportunity to learn how state and local governments work. Girls’ State selection is based on leadership, good citizenship, scholarship and community participation and service.
This year’s Girls' State will be held June 16 -21, at Husson College in Bangor. Allyson Lambert was selected as an alternate.
Carl M.P. Larrabee Insurance Agency, Ames Supply, and the Bradford-Sortwell Wright Post 54 Auxiliary sponsor this year’s Boys’ and Girls' State delegates.
