Historical talk at Lincoln Home
Tue, 10/10/2017 - 8:45am
In the spring of 1776, Boston was under siege by American troops. General Howe, the British commander, decided to evacuate Boston and move his headquarters to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
At The Lincoln Home Monday, Oct. 16 from 3 to 4 p.m., Hank Lunn will tell the story of his great-great-great-great-grandfather, a 16-year-old American loyalist who fervently believed it was wrong to rebel against the king and joined the American Loyalist Irish Volunteers to fight.
The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road, Newcastle. This event is free and open to the public.
