Dear Editor: 

I write in response to Mike Bartles’ letter to the editor, titled “A wave of bigotry,” in the March 20 edition. 

Boys and men engaging in girls’ and women’s sports is unfair. The rest of the letter strays wildly from the issue of fairness: Christian fanatical ideology, transphobia, disinformation, economic conditions, school meal programs, clear cut corruption, gender affirming care, MAGA party, cisgendered peers, and fascism in 1930s Europe.  

The issue is fairness. End of discussion. Fight on, Laurel.
