It's a 'Nutcracker' with dancing reindeer!
“Santa's Reindeer Present: The Nutcracker,” written and directed by Reba Short Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine Theatre Artistic Director is playing now through December 22.
The somewhat-talented, but very enthusiastic North Pole reindeer are back and this time they’re producing their own version of “The Nutcracker” for Santa and his elves. Will The Nutcracker (played by Blitzen) defeat the Mouse King? Can Vixen remember his lines? What will happen if Comet replaces the Nutcracker prop with a spatula?
Playwright and Director Short, invites families to join the fun this holiday season.
“The reindeer are my favorite part of Christmas. The pitter patter on the roof, the fuzzy antlers, the distinct personalities … It’s exciting to imagine this team working together to put on a show, and a production as big and famous as 'The Nutcracker'! This production is fun for the whole family,” said Short.
This fun, contemporary spin on the holiday classic features an unforgettable reindeer rap, lots of silly jokes, and of course, holiday cheer. Recommended for ages 3 and up, “Santa’s Reindeer Present: The Nutcracker” is the perfect introduction to this timeless story.
