Last call for tickets to Champagne on the Sheepscot fundraiser
Join fellow conservationists on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 4:30 -7 p.m. to sip champagne, enjoy oysters from M Oysters and gourmet appetizers from Café Miranda, at a stunning private home in Newcastle on the shores of the Sheepscot River. Jazz music will be provided by the Lincoln Academy Five O’Clock combo.
Alna artist Kate Nordstrom has donated a painting she did specifically for the event. Entitled “Life in the Kelp Forest,” the 40” x 40” painting is a fanciful and stunning representation of the intertwined natural worlds on land and in water. To buy raffle tickets ($10 for 1, $20 for 3), go to https://www.midcoastconservancy.org/events/champagne-on-the-sheepscot/; winners need not be present to win.
Major sponsors of this year's Champagne on the Sheepscot include ReVision Energy, Ames True Value Hardware & Supply in Wiscasset, and Cellardoor Winery; other local businesses have also contributed, including Treats and Sheepscot Valley Brewing. Tickets are $60 per person, and are available now until Sept. 10 from Midcoast Conservancy by visiting the website above, calling 389-5150, or emailing info@midcoastconservancy.org.
