LCRPC plans flood talks
Please join us on Wednesday, May 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a presentation of the Maine Flood Resilience Checklist by Abbie Sherwin of Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC) followed by a presentation on Hazard Mitigation in Lincoln County by Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).
The checklist is a self-assessment tool for Maine’s coastal communities to evaluate vulnerability to flood hazards and to increase resilience.
Lincoln County EMA will present an overview of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program with support from MEMA. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the program and get any questions you may have answered.
If you are an EMA director, public works/road commissioner, code enforcement officer, town administrator/manager, fire or police chief, selectman or planner, these presentations are for you.
Please RSVP to Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission, Megan McLaughlin at mmclaughlin@lcrprc.org, 882-5986 by Monday, May 13. The presentations are free and open to the public.
