Learn by doing! The best way to become a master in the kitchen
Looking for something fun, educational (and delicious) to do on a mid-winter night?
Local chef/owner Rick Hirsch of the Damariscotta River Grill and 2010 Maine Restaurant Association “Chef of the Year” will present a demonstration class and meal as a fundraiser to benefit FARMS Community Kitchen in Damariscotta.
Rick will prepare some of his favorite winter dishes on Thursday, Feb. 25, 5:15 to 8 pm in the FARMS Kitchen (upstairs over the Rising Tide Market in Damariscotta). The hearty winter menu includes:
- Cream of Celeriac Soup
- Fresh Spinach and Roasted Beet Salad
- Mushroom Risotto with Braised Short Rib
- Chocolate Ancho Chili Cake
Join us in the Community Kitchen to learn some tricks of the trade in the preparation of this meal. The cost of the class is $50 per person, or $90 per couple. It includes a generous sampling of all the dishes and a complimentary glass of wine. Limited space is available so reserve your place by leaving a message on the FARMS phone at 563-1161 or emailing us at info@mefarms.org. After confirmation, please send your name, phone number, email address and a check made out to FARMS to P.O. Box 421, Damariscotta, ME 04543 or drop off payment and registration information in the mailbox upstairs at the FARMS Community Kitchen.
