Are you looking for a handy way to put your garden and flower beds to rest for the winter? Why not try some Lincoln County compost? The addition of just a couple of inches of compost to your soil will provide numerous benefits, including: increased organic matter content, enhanced water holding capacity, improved soil structure and nutrient holding capacity.

To help you accomplish this, Lincoln County Recycling is offering a special sale until supplies are gone. Special sale price is $20 per cubic yard of our leaf and yard-based compost and $30 per cubic yard of our “gourmet” food–based compost. Compost will be available on a first come first served basis.

Pickup hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday at 54 Huntoon Hill Road, Wiscasset (the road just above the Wiscasset Transfer Station). For more information, please call 207-882-5276.
