The monthly meeting of Lincoln County Republicans will be held Wednesday, March 26, at the Water of Life Lutheran Church, 618 US-1, Newcastle. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the public portion of the meeting begins at 6  This month’s guest speaker is Jacob Posik, director of Legislative Affairs at the Maine Policy Institute. Posik will join us to talk about an important topic and call to action. He will provide a presentation on an obscure law that allows citizens to collect a nominal number of only 150 signatures to compel the Executive Branch to consider and possibly adopt a comprehensive regulation. This obscure, outdated and ridiculous law must be changed. Come to hear how we can help accomplish that goal.

The Maine Policy Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works to expand individual liberty and economic freedom in Maine.

Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items that will be donated to the local food pantry.

A business meeting, open to registered Republicans, will follow at 7.
