Lincoln Day Brunch 2025
The Lincoln County Republican Committee's annual Lincoln Day event will be held Saturday, Feb. 8 at The 1812 Farm, 1297 Bristol Road, Bristol from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets may be purchased by contacting Ginny Farrin at lcrcmaine@gmail.com.
The Lincoln Day event is a tradition where Abraham Lincoln is celebrated as the first elected president of the Republican Party. The program includes a buffet brunch, silent auction and guest speaker, author and Maine lawyer, Robert B. Charles.
A Maine native, Charles graduated from Maranacook High School, received his undergrad degree from Dartmouth College, master's from Oxford University and law degree from Columbia Law School. He served in under two presidents, ran investigations for five years in the 1990s for the U.S. House Oversight committee, on Defense, Justice, State and NASA. He has worked in Naval Intelligence and served as Assistant Secretary of State to Colin Powell. His most recent book, "Cherish America," is a collection of stories about leadership and what makes America great.
