Linda M. Cavanaugh
Linda M. Cavanaugh of Boothbay passed away on Oct. 11, 2018 following a tragic bicycle accident on her way home from work at St. Andrews Village, Boothbay Harbor on Oct. 4.
Linda graduated from Trinity College in Vermont and Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She also had Certificate in Recreation Leadership and worked as a CNA. The majority of her career was spent as a teacher of English and Spanish in parochial schools and in Canton, Connecticut. She was also an athletic director and coached basketball, track and cross-country.
She remained active in life, running, golfing, biking and hiking. Her passion was working and helping all people, young children, high schoolers and Golden Agers. In her retirement, she was a devoted worker at St. Andrews Village, her second home. Linda was a kind, giving, loving individual and will be missed by many friends and relatives.
Linda is survived by her life partner and wife, Lois-Jean Berry; her sister, Susan Elmore; and her brother, Robert Cavanaugh and his wife Connie. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and two aunts. Her in-laws include John and Jennifer Fehlau, Elizabeth and Walter Reed, their children and her grandchildren, Cameron and Caitlin Berry.
She was predeceased by her father, mother and two brothers.
Pastor Sarah Foulger will conduct services for Linda on Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor.
