Lois W. Pye
Lois Winchester Pye, 91, of Ocean Point Road, East Boothbay, died peacefully at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor, with the dedicated help of the staff of the Gregory Wing, on Nov. 18, 2017, after a long illness.
She was born on Aug. 28, 1926 in Manchester-by the –Sea, Massachusetts, to Marshall H. and Adelaide (Winne) Winchester. She had been a resident of Windsor, Connecticut from 1935 until 1988. She met her future husband Allen R. Pye of Hartford, Connecticut after he returned from his World War II military service in Germany and France in 1946. They were married in Windsor, Connecticut in May of 1947 and raised their three children there.
Lois and her husband moved to Maine after they both retired. She was predeceased by her husband, Allen, who died in 2003, her sister, Ann, and two grandsons, Andrew and Scott.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Terry Spottiswoode of Cape Cod, Massachusetts., Beth E. Pye of Windsor Locks, Connecticut and by her son, Richard Winchester Pye of East Boothbay. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
