A love triangle, a gangster, a movie icon and ‘Hamlet’

“Aida,” Verdi's dramatic tale of a royal romantic triangle, war, jealousy, and tragedy presented in four acts, is sung in Italian from the libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni. Recorded in February 2015 from the Teatro Alla Scala di Milano. The opera screens at The Harbor Theatre on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold the night of the event.
“Ricki and The Flash” Guitar picking, rock singing Meryl Streep returns as Ricki Rendazzo. A one-time wife and mother of three, Ricki left her family behind to follow her dreams of rock 'n' roll stardom in California. Now, the singer and guitarist must face the music when she returns home to Indiana to reconnect with ex-husband Pete (Kevin Kline), troubled daughter Julie, engaged son Josh and younger son Adam. Plays at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8.
“Black Mass”: While his brother Bill (Benedict Cumberbatch) remains a powerful leader in the Massachusetts Senate, Irish hoodlum James "Whitey" Bulger (Johnny Depp) continues to pursue a life of crime in 1970s Boston.
Approached by FBI agent John Connolly (Joel Edgerton), the lawman convinces Whitey to help the agency fight the Italian mob. As their unholy alliance spirals out of control, Bulger increases his power and evades capture to become one of the most dangerous gangsters in U.S. history.

Johnson (Steve Martin) is told the truth when he instinctively taps his feet to an easy listening tune on the radio, instead of a low-down blues. “Little Shop of Horrors”: A nerdy florist (Rick Moranis) finds his chance for success and romance with the help of a giant man-eating plant who demands to be fed. Also stars Steve Martin, Ellen Green, Billy Murray and John Candy. Plays Friday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.
Pumpkinfest Regatta LIVE! Once again the theater will broadcast the Pumpkinfest Regatta as it happens, free on the big screen at approximately 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12.
“ParaNorman” The theater's annual Pumpkinfest free children's matinee! A misunderstood boy takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse. Includes the voices of Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, John Goodman and Elaine Stritch. Plays at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12.
