Luck of the Irish at Story Hour
As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, the children at the Wiscasset Public Library learned about some of the holiday’s symbols. We enjoyed the book “Lucky Tucker” by Leslie McGuirk about a dog who starts his day off on the wrong paw. After Tucker rolls around in a patch of four leaf clovers that was gathered by a leprechaun, his luck turns around. Following the stories, we all made a paper chain in rainbow colors that lead to a pot of gold at the bottom. They couldn’t wait to take these crafts home to hang up.
Story hour is at the Wiscasset Public Library children’s room every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The library is located at 21 High Street in Wiscasset. For more information call 882-7161. All good listeners are welcome to enjoy a few stories and an activity to follow.
