The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 359 calls for service for the period of Oct. 15 to Oct. 22. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 12,850 calls for service.
Summonses
Jacob F. Brown, 36, of Palermo was issued a summons Oct. 15 for Negotiating a Worthless Instrument, on Main Road, Westport Island, by Deputy Justin Drake.
Evangeline R. Margaritis, 25, of Newcastle was issued a summons Oct. 16 for Operating after Registration Suspended and Violating Condition of Release, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Samuel W. Howard, 26, of Pittston was issued a summons Oct. 16 for Failure to Submit to Fingerprinting, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Joshua L. Carter, 35, of South Bristol was issued summonses Oct. 18 for Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drug (x3); Unlawful Possession of Schedule Z Drug (x2) and Unlawful Possession of Schedule X Drug (x1), after an incident which occurred on 07/07/24, on Route 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrests
Denis Gusty, 32, of Bristol was arrested Oct. 17 for Operating under the Influence – No Test, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
Rory Tristan, 35, of Dexter was arrested Oct. 17 for Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Justin Drake.
Accidents
On Oct. 15, an accident occurred on Jones Woods Road in Newcastle involving Halena L. Stone, 18, of Alna. Ms. Stone was operating her 2007 Kia Sorento westbound when she encountered a deer in the roadway. Stone was unable to avoid striking the deer, causing her vehicle to sustain disabling damage to the front. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 17, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Richard E. Hunt, 57, of Nobleboro. Mr. Hunt was operating his 2011 Subaru Outback northbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Sgt. Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 17, an accident occurred on Goose Hill Road in Jefferson involving Frank L. Ford, 44, of Windsor. Mr. Ford was operating his 2011 Subaru Forester southbound when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle and was struck, causing disabling damage to the front. Deputy Nathaniel Aronson was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 19, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Tamra S. Philbrook, 65, of Waldoboro and Joshua Zehm, 59, of Edgecomb. Mr. Zehm was operating his 1996 Ford Explorer northbound behind Ms. Philbrook’s 2019 Toyota RAV4, which was also traveling northbound. Philbrook pulled to the right side of the road and made a U-turn and stated she did not see Zehm’s vehicle behind her. As a result, Zehm struck Philbrook’s vehicle on the driver’s side. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 20, an accident occurred on East River Road in Whitefield involving Naomi L. Luce, 48, of Whitefield. Ms. Luce was operating her 2019 Honda HR-V westbound when she stated a deer came out in front of her vehicle. As a result, she crossed the centerline and left the roadway on the left, struck a ditch and then a rock wall. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 21, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Tina J. Hayes, 61, of Jefferson. Ms. Hayes was operating her 2023 Hyundai Tucson eastbound when a deer ran out from the right side of the road and into the side of her vehicle. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
