Maine Criminal Justice Academy to graduate 68 cadets May 17
On Friday, May 17, 68 police Cadets will graduate from the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program (BLETP) at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.
The BLETP is an 18-week residential training program that began in January with 72 cadets. 68 Cadets will graduate Friday.
The 45th BLETP represents 44 state, municipal, and county law enforcement agencies that span from Presque Isle to Kittery. This is a diverse class with 23 military veterans representing all branches of the military.
Lincoln County graduates will include: Zachary R. Barry of the Boothbay Harbor Police Department; Hunter M. Farrell and Logan J. Hilton of the Wiscasset Police Department; and Nathan K. Yeaton of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Weather permitting, the graduation ceremony will be held outside on the parade deck overlooking the hills of Vassalboro and Kennebec County.
