Maine Energy Marketers Association launches annual ‘Fuel Your Love Month’
Maine Energy Marketers Association (MEMA), in conjunction with Maine’s heating fuel retailers and WGME CBS 13, is putting the finishing touches on their annual “Fuel Your Love Month” which provides heating fuel to deserving Mainers.
Beginning Feb. 1, and running the entire month, MEMA will once again invite Mainers to nominate someone in need to receive 100 gallons of heating fuel at no cost. Nominations can be made by logging onto www.maineenergyfacts.com. On Feb. 28, MEMA President and CEO Charlie Summers will, by random drawing, select 50 names from all nominations received to receive 100 gallons of heating fuel.
A special highlight of “Fuel Your Love” month comes on Valentine’s Day when Maine heating fuel retailers who are “Fuel Your Love” sponsors deliver a little extra warmth and savings to their customers that may need a little extra help this winter by filling their oil tanks, at no charge.
““Fuel Your Love Month” is just one of the many ways MEMA members demonstrate their commitment to their communities and the state of Maine,” says Charlie Summers, president and CEO, Maine Energy Marketers Association. “The men and women who run our heating fuel companies are some of the most caring and generous Mainers I know, and they make a positive difference in the lives of all Maine citizens each and every day.”
This year’s “Fuel Your Love Month” sponsors include: Augusta Fuel Company (Kennebec County), Colby & Gale (Lincoln County), Consumers Fuel (Waldo County), Dead River (Androscoggin, Oxford, and Penobscot Counties), Dixfield Discount Fuel (Oxford County), Eastern Propane & Oil (York County), Murray-Heutz Oil & Propane (Androscoggin County), Maine Energy (Penobscot County), Maine Standard BioFuels (Cumberland County), RH Foster (Penobscot County), and V.L.
