Maine Photography Show deadline January 24
Attention Maine photographers: we're now down to counting the hours left before the ninth annual Maine Photography Show deadline. Submissions, entry fees and photos for judging must be received no later than the midnight on Friday, Jan. 24.
Although the number of entries are ahead of last year at this time, show chairman Bruce Burnham is worried that photographers who have entered before might think they have more time. “We've adjusted the submission timetable to accommodate our judge's availability this year and the deadline is earlier than what it has been in the past,” Burnham said.
Any Maine photographer can enter up to three images in any combination of the show's three categories: Color, Black and White, Special Theme Flowers. For information concerning sizing, submission, and to secure an official entry form, visit www.mainephotographyshow.com or contact chairman Bruce Burnham 207-380-1863 or Boothbay Region Art Foundation 207-633-2703.
The juror for MPS 2014 is the internationally acclaimed Canadian nature photographer, gardener and writer Freeman Patterson.
The Maine Photography Show awards cash prizes to the first four places in each category and Best of Show.
The MPS 2014 exhibition will take place at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation gallery at 1 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor from Saturday, April 12 to Friday May 2.
Enter before the sun sets on another day.
