Man who allegedly served liquor before fatal Boothbay crash indicted
The Lincoln County Grand Jury has indicted a 21-year-old with one felony following the deaths of two area teenagers.
William Gerardi, 21, of Boothbay Harbor, has been charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor, a Class C crime, and endangerment of child, which is a Class D crime.
The Grand Jury alleges that Gerardi gave liquor to Keegan Spear, 17, and Casey Dalton, 19, on July 30.
Dalton and Spear would both later be killed in a car accident near River Road in Boothbay.
Shortly after the accident, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was able to track the liquor back to a house on Merry Lane in Boothbay, where Gerardi is alleged to have furnished alcohol to the two minors.
If convicted, Gerardi could face up to five years in prison and or a $5,000 fine for giving alcohol to minors.
Gerardi was also charged with violating the conditions of his release on Aug. 26 when he allegedly tested positive for marijuana.
