March music at Savory Maine
Savory Maine in Damariscotta announces its March music series featuring musicians from around the Midcoast every Thursday and Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Liz Starr will start the month out on March 3. Liz is fluent in folk and Celtic music which she will play in addition to her own songs. Giff Jamison and Nancy Sferra will play on the 5th.
Plan B, a group of musicians gathered by Nan Jones will play on March 10, followed by Sylvia Tavares and Gary McCue on the 12th. Gary plays predominantly his own compositions and Sylvia plays classic folk music and original compositions.
On St. Patrick's Day (March 17) the Montswegers will play with Shine Richards on percussion, Beth Richards on guitar and mandolin and Scott Ciampa on fiddle may be joined by other musicians and Irish tunes will be on the playlist.
On Sat. the 19th, the lively group The Rusty Hinges return, followed by two acts returning after long absences, Married with Chitlins (Chris and Liz Lannon) on March 24, and musician-singer-songwriter Peter Alexander March 26. Gary McCue closes out the month, as a soloist, on the 31st.
Savory Maine is located at 11 Water Street, Damariscotta and is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday through Monday.
