The Popham Beach Library is pleased to present Lynda Doughty, Founder and Director of Marine Mammals of Maine, on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.., the next program in the "All Things Local" series.

Marine Mammals of Maine (MMoME) is a non-profit organization dedicated to marine mammal and sea turtle response, rescue, care, research and education.The non-profit was founded in 2011 and is the only organization federally authorized to carry out this work in southern and midcoast Maine.

The Popham Beach Library welcomes all residents, seasonal residents, and visitors to stop in during regular hours, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through August, to borrow new books and DVDs, read the newspaper, and have a cup of coffee and a pastry. Please plan to attend the “All Things Local” Summer Programs, a series of lectures, events and a concert offered throughout August. Free parking is available behind the building.
