Marjorie Skoglund
Marjorie “Madge” Skoglund, of Tequesta, Florida died after a lengthy battle from Frontal Lobe Dementia.
She was predeceased by her parents, Julian and Marjorie Nichols, and brothers, Julian and Neil Nichols.
She is survived by her husband, John; son, John Jr. (Melissa) of Encinitas, California; daughter, Kathryn Eckert (Timothy) and grandsons, Austin and Jack Brinser, all from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by brothers John Nichols and Mark Nichols, M.D. and sister Mary Hession.
Madge was raised in West Hartford, Connecticut and graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy, Mt. St. Vincent’s College (B.A.) and Assumption College (M.A.) and studied at the Alliance Francese in France. She was a longtime resident of Ocean City, New Jersey where she had a successful career in real estate.
She was a devoted Catholic and served as a volunteer ombudsman for the state of New Jersey for the Cape May County Nursing Home.
She also was a talented landscape watercolorist. She loved living by the ocean either in Florida or on the coast of Maine. She spent her life making other people happy. What better life could anyone have?
