The Maine CDC reports 22,092 negative cases, as of May 6. “Maine CDC will publish negative results once a week on Wednesdays. Because of the number of outside labs that are testing samples from Maine, it is not currently possible to post a complete count of negative tests on a daily basis,” the Maine CDC website states.
By sex, 733 females have tested positive in the state and 639 males have tested positive. The sex of three individuals was listed by the Maine CDC as unknown.
The below cases represents the number of full-time Maine residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Maine CDC.
“This is likely an underrepresentation of the true number of cases in Maine since not all individuals are being tested,” the Maine CDC says. “For individuals not considered to be at high risk, medical providers are currently advised to diagnose COVID-19 based on symptoms.”
Each day, the Maine CDC updates its COVID-19 data on its website with the latest coronavirus numbers from across the state. Today’s update came at noon.
