Maine Department of Transportation asks the public to use caution when passing through MDOT’s work zone in the area of Routes 1 and Route 27 (Boothbay Road) and Eddy Road in Edgecomb. This intersection improvement project involves lane closures, detours and new traffic patterns. Crews have had some close calls.

 

“Our primary goal is to ensure the safety of ... staff, our contracting partners, and the members of the traveling public. We're asking ... the public to be patient and extremely careful when navigating this intersection. The project is scheduled to be finished by mid-October,” an MDOT release stated Monday.
