Morris Farm helps with food security

Morris Farm in Wiscasset has just opened its new Take-What-You-Need Farm Stand. With a goal of providing access to fresh, local produce for all members of the community, the stand features free produce donated from local farms and gardens. It is a help-yourself farm stand available seven days a week and stocked five days a week.
Donations are accepted with all proceeds going to additional food security projects at the farm, including a meal preparation program that will soon begin to provide additional meals to the Help Yourself Shelf Food Pantry at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.
