The ongoing investigation into a May 27 motorcycle accident on Gardiner Road, Wiscasset has led to the injured rider, Gary St. Hiliare, 56, of Auburn being charged with operating under the influence. St. Hiliare is scheduled to be arraigned in Wiscasset Unified Court on Aug. 27.

Witnesses to the accident saw two motorcycles riding in the same group collide, resulting in St. Hiliare losing control of his motorcycle. The investigation conducted by Officer Cory Hubert determined St. Hiliare’s blood alcohol level was allegedly more than twice the legal limit at the time of the crash.
