New Hope Midcoast launches April matching challenge
New Hope Midcoast, the Domestic Violence Resource Center serving Midcoast Maine, is asking everyone to join them in creating a place where people feel safe, supported and included through through their Community of Hope Matching Challenge. All donations received in April of this year will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000. Donations will have double the impact and provide twice the help for survivors of domestic abuse.
“Survivors of domestic abuse need to know that they can count on their neighbors,” said New Hope, in a news release. “Communities that foster trust, kindness, acceptance and belonging allow everyone to live free of fear. They contribute to an overall sense of well-being; adults and children can express themselves with confidence and everyone can feel safe.”
New Hope Midcoast believes that a just and peaceful society is one in which we confront and overcome oppression and violence. Everyone can play a role in addressing domestic abuse. The funds raised during this matching challenge campaign will bring Midcoast Maine one step closer to becoming a community of hope.
Donations should be received by April 30 at New Hope Midcoast, PO Box A, Rockland, Maine 04841 or online at https://new-hope-for-women.square.site/. Questions may be addressed to developmentdirector@newhopemidcoast.org or (207) 691.5969.
