New music at Savory Maine in April
The local musicians performing in Savory Maine's Music Series in April will bring folk, country, inspirational, gospel, bluegrass, ragtime, classical, contemporary, Flamenco, Spanish, Brazillian and 19th century minstrel music to the menu. Music fills the air every Thursday and Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Kathi Nordone starts things off on April 3; Sylvia Tavares and Jamie Peghiny follow on April 5.
The Music Series welcomes two newcomers in April, beginning with Brian Cullen on April 10. Cullen is a classical guitarist and vocalist playing classical, contemporary, Brazilian, flamenco, Spanish, broadway music. On April 12, its Jeff Herbster, on banjo and fiddle, not only playing bluegrass, but a style from the mid-19th century called “Minstrel.”
Gary McCue returns April 17, and Giff Jamison April 19; Bob White April 24, and Dave Martin, who plays an eclectic mix of ragtime, contemporary and classical pieces on solo acoustic guitar, will close out the month on Saturday, April 26.
Savory Maine is located at 11 Water Street, Damariscotta and is open Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., serving lunch and dinner, and on Sunday, brunch and dinner. The restaurant sources most of its food from Maine and essentially all of it is organically grown or wild harvested.
