New tavern opens at Boothbay Craft Brewery
Final touches are being placed on what promises to be a whole new way to eat, drink and be merry in town. The revolutionary style Watershed Tavern will feature organic wood fired flat bread pizzas, as well as tavern style favorites with a twist and a focus on quality ingredients.
Chef Brandon Simpson offers a refreshing style of his own and a lot of passion for his work. The tavern officially opens its doors just in time for Mother’s Day on Friday, May 10.
Mother’s Day: What better way to celebrate Mom than with lunch or dinner at the newest hot spot on the peninsula. The cozy, intimate atmosphere and carefully prepared tavern style fare is certain to make her feel special.
American Craft Beer Week:The Watershed Tavern and Boothbay Craft Brewery will join the entire nation in celebrating American Craft Beer week from May 13-19. Join them in the celebration with daily specials, brewery tours and the first ever, simultaneous nationwide toast at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.
2nd Annual Hop Swap Event:Last June over 100 people put their green thumbs on at this fun event and went home with a hop plant of their very own. The BRU Team wants to know how those hops are doing a whole year later and are willing to bet they need a mate or two. So come by for some ‘Hop Talk’ and pick up your new hops on June 1. Details: 1 p.m. until close (8:30 p.m.), $5 per person includes hop seedling, brewery tour and dinner discounts.
Fishermen’s Memori-Ale: The Boothbay Craft Brewery joined the Boothbay Register as Tall Tale sponsors of the 2013 Fishermen’s Festival. “In the minds of us who were present during those 'Bronze Years' we remember them as sweet times of collaboration, with honor, respect, integrity, humility and humor. This is the definition of an 'Imperial Attitude' and our unique bronze ale has been brewed using these ingredients with a portion of every pint donated to the Fisherman’s Memorial Fund.”
Watershed Tavern will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and closed on Mondays.
