A Newcastle woman who allegedly spat on cars, ripped up potted plants outside of grocery store and fought a police officer has been arrested by the Damariscotta Police Department.

Alisa Wallace, 47, of Newcastle, was arrested Sept. 2 after she allegedly ripped up potted flowers at Damariscotta's Yellowfront Grocery and spat on cars.

Officer Jason Warlick was dispatched to Yellowfront to deal with an intoxicated woman who was allegedly destroying plants around the store.

Warlick then asked her to step outside to talk, which she reportedly refused to do, saying she did nothing wrong.

Once outside, Warlick attempted to get Wallace to stop, at one point he reached out to grab her, before she began screaming and sat down. Warlick asked her for her identification, but Wallace reportedly refused to give it to the officer. Warlick told her that she would be booked for disorderly conduct if she didn't stop screaming.

When Warlick attempted to get Wallace in handcuffs, she allegedly attempted to get out of them; when he tried to get her in the back of the department's Ram truck she wouldn't get in; when she finally was inside she allegedly managed to slip from the cuffs and reportedly began spitting in the back of the truck.

When Warlick opened the back of the truck Wallace reportedly kicked him twice.

Warlick talked to witness who identified Wallace as the woman who destroyed four potted plants and spat on his car.

During the trip to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, Wallace reportedly told Warlick multiple times that she, her son or her boyfriend would kill him.

Wallace has been charged with two Class D crimes (criminal mischief, assault) and two Class E crimes of refusing to submit to arrest and disorderly conduct. She has also been ordered not to return to Yellowfront.
