Nine inducted into National Honor Society
The annual National Honor Society induction ceremony was conducted at Wiscasset High School on Thursday, May 21. Nine students were inducted into the local NHS chapter, having been selected on their merits and achievements in the areas of scholarship, character, service, and leadership.
The new inductees are: seniors Hanna Foye, Charlene Reed and Jasmine Smith; juniors Samantha Arsenault, Amanda Johnson and Kennedy Orr; and sophomores Gabrielle Chapman, Grant Hefler and David Roach.
The current members conducted the ceremony, with Miranda McIntire and Ridge Barnes leading the way. Other speakers included Erika Auger, Maeve Carlson, Colleen Hendricks and Hannah Welborn. Member Kayla Gordon was unable to attend due to illness. Family and friends enjoyed refreshments after the ceremony.
