Out of concern for the health and safety of our summer worshipers, clergy and organists and to be in compliance with government directives and recommendations of the Episcopal Diocese of Maine, the Governing Committee of All Saints by-the-Sea summer chapel has decided that in-person services will not be held this summer season. So as to continue to uphold our friends in faith, a weekly online service will be offered with many of our favorite clergy contributing enlightened sermons and prayers, and organists providing worshipful music and hymns. These services will be available beginning Sunday, June 21 and continue through the summer. Links to these services will be published weekly and can be found on our website, www.allsaintssouthport.org

Recognizing the special place All Saints holds for many in our region, the chapel will be open for private prayer and meditation several days each week including Sunday morning. This schedule, when finalized will be published in the Register and on our website monthly. Social distancing, special sanitation and the wearing of masks will be in effect during these times for the safety of our worshipers. We are working toward continuing to offer the popular Tuesday morning porch discussions via Zoom.

Our clergy virtually joining us for the first part of the summer include St. Columba’s Rev. Maria Hoecker, the Rev. Canon George Maxwell and the Rev. Martin Smith. We are delighted to have organist Henry Lowe returning to enrich our worship as well as local favorite Jay Zoller.

As always, we invite people of all faiths to join in virtual worship and prayer. The chapel is located on Southport Island about two miles south on Rt. 238 on All Saints Road to the left. The church dock will be open for boaters to arrive by water however the golf cart will not be available this summer due to social distancing concerns.
