To our wonderful community
Dear Editor:
It has been almost a month since we lost our beloved Kim. We miss her during the small things like when we play cornhole at family cookouts. We miss her during the big things like at Morgan’s baby shower for Tinley. We miss her in all aspects of life and her absence will never get easier, we will only get stronger.
In this month, our family has experienced the unwavering love of our small town. This has made our strength grow and we would not be able to do this without you. The meals you made brought us together as family and friends and allowed us to laugh and cry while remembering Kim. The donations you so generously gave have allowed the community to have closure, Kim’s children to move forward, and future graduates to have a helping hand as they embark on the journey of Early Childhood Education that Kim was so passionate about. Your flowers and cards decorate our homes and remind us of the support we have. Your kind words, your thoughtful memories and pictures shared, and your warm hugs have started to mend the piece of us that we lost the day Kim passed.
We thank you so much for everything you have done for us. You have allowed us to continue to feel Kim’s love through all of the people she has impacted. Our family cannot express how grateful we are for that. As we go on in our lives without Kim, please continue to remember Kim’s love. Remember her in the bleachers, cheering for athletic events. Remember her at Lighthouse Learning Center, surrounded by kids she loved. Remember her laughing and smiling. Remember her as the irreplaceable daughter, mother, fiancé, aunt, cousin, friend, and grandmother she was. We will remember her like that, too.
We love you all and appreciate everything you have done and will continue to do. Thank you.
