Penelope Telford Matthews, 75, passed away on Sept. 12, 2022 at the Sussman House in Rockport from leukemia.

Penny was born in Pennsylvania, and went to the University of Delaware. She moved to Boston, earned an M.B.A., and worked for State Street Bank. She later worked for Teradyne for over 20 years retiring as a senior financial executive.

She moved to Boothbay Harbor in 2001, volunteered for many organizations, and was a board member at St. Andrews Hospital, Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club, and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

Per Penny’s request, there will not be any services. Contributions in Penny’s memory may be made to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, P.O. Box 234, Boothbay, ME 04537.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay.
