Local puppeteers Elisabeth Ferrero and Joanie Dean of Primrose Puppets will bring a Russian folktale to life with their silk marionettes at the Pownalborough Court House in Dresden on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. Their performance of “Mashenka and the Bear” is sure to delight families and individuals of all ages.
Mashenka is a young girl who wanders away while picking mushrooms and berries in the forest and meets someone very interesting. In the happy ending, Mashenka finds her way safely home again.This light-hearted story is appropriate for even the youngest child.
The Pownalborough Court House is located at 23 Court House Road (off Route 128) in Dresden. This event is free to the public, although good will donations are very much appreciated.
