On January 1, the Association of Wiscasset Firefighters drew the grand prize for the 16th annual Race Raffle and presented it to Larry Compagna of Dresden. The grand prize package for two in Las Vegas, consists of tickets to the Kobalt Tool 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race, the Boyd Gaming 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race, tickets to qualifying, airfare, lodging at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino and $150 cash. Chief T.J. Merry presented the Grand Prize package to Compagna. The winner and his wife Lori will travel to Las Vegas in March for race weekend.

• Dan Averill of Alna won second prize: two tickets to a NHMS Sprint Cup Race.
• Tim Merry of Wiscasset won third prize: two tickets to at NHMS Sprint Cup Race.
• Mike Averill of Alna won fourth prize: two tickets to a Nationwide or Truck Race at NHMS.
• Larry Russell of Newcastle won fifth prize: two tickets to the Oxford 350.
