Raymond S. Wilkins Jr.
Raymond Sanger Wilkins Jr., 92, of Boothbay died of natural causes on Aug. 22, 2017.
Raymond was born in Boston, Mass. on Dec. 31, 1924. He attended Phillips Exeter Academy before serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 – 1946. Ray graduated from Harvard College in 1948 with a degree in economics.
Ray worked primarily as a sales representative for the Prince Gardener Co. in both New England and Washington, D.C. In retirement (1992-2002) he worked in sales at Sears in Brunswick, Maine.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (Wade); his son, Calvin T. of Arlington, Texas; his daughter, Elizabeth W. Blount of Aledo, Texas; his daughter, Rebecca W. Dent of Glen Allen, Virginia; his son, David R. of South Dartmouth, Massachusetts; his son, Samuel H. of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Raymond is also survived by his brother, retired Massachusetts Supreme Court Chief Justice, Herbert P. Wilkins of Concord, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Massachusetts Supreme Court Chief Justice, Raymond S. Wilkins and Mary Louisa Aldrich.
Ray was predeceased by his brother, David A., and his son, Raymond. S. III.
Private burial services will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Winchester, Massachusetts.
