Return Reny to Senate
Dear Editor:
I’m impressed by the record of accomplishment that Cameron Reny has developed over the course of her first term as state Senator representing District 13. From healthcare access and affordability to protecting sustainable fisheries, supporting the recovery of coastal communities from brutally damaging winter storms, and seeking solutions to maintain and advance affordable housing, Cameron has taken action on so many fronts to address issues faced by people and businesses across our communities. In addition to the five bills of hers that were passed and enacted in her first year – a remarkable accomplishment for a freshman legislator -- her record of accomplishment is attested by perfect scorecards from an impressive number of organizations, including Planned Parenthood, the Maine Education Association, the Maine AFL-CIO, the Maine Recovery Advocacy Project, and the Maine Conservation Voters, with endorsements from many others.
As a life-long resident of Lincoln County, and an educator raised in a working-class family, Cameron understands the important day-to-day challenges faced by the voters of District 13, and has been an effective champion for workers and union labor, traditional industries such as fishing, affordable housing, and environmental protection. She’s off to a great start. Please join me in returning her to office by voting for Cameron Reny on Nov. 5 so that she can continue to serve the residents of District 13.
