Rigas to undergo competency exam
Konstantinos Rigas, 31, of Boothbay Harbor is scheduled for a competency exam July 2 to determine if he can stand trial.
Rigas faces a long list of charges related to a May 15 standoff at his family home on Oak Street during an alleged domestic violence incident. In addition to the charges stemming directly from that day, of Aggravated Assault, Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening (with priors) with a Dangerous Weapon, two counts of Assault, four counts of Terrorizing, Causing a Police Standoff, and Refusing to Submit to Arrest, Rigas also faces 18 new counts of Violating Conditions of Release and one new count of Witness Tampering.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash.
Rigas’ dispositional conference is July 22 at 8:30 a.m.
David Paris was assigned as his attorney. Justice Daniel Billings signed the order for the competency exam.
