Roger A. Eastman
Roger Allen Eastman died at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, Florida Sept. 23, 2017.
Roger was born in Whitefield, Maine on March 24, 1930. After graduation from Boothbay Harbor High School, Roger went on to serve in the U. S. Army in Korea.
After the Army, Roger graduated from Boston University and went on to become a partner in Arthur Anderson. After 35 years, he retired and started a new career as chief operating officer at Danuers Savings Bank. After 15 years at Danuers, he finally really retired full-time in Naples where he enjoyed being with friends at the Barefoot Beach Club and at his home at the Monte Carlo.
His final months were spent at The American House Independent Living facility, meeting new people and enjoying a new phase of life.
Roger is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alayne; his children, Rhonda, Deborah, and Warren; his grandchildren, Kyle, Alexa, Rhys, and Jack; and his two brothers, Leland and Earl.
A military graveside service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Palm Royale Cemetery on Vanderbilt Beach Road followed by a reception at Seasons 52 restaurant from noon to 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer's Research Organization.
