Rusty Hinges to play at Inn Along the Way
As we enjoy the special warm days of our region’s second summer days, before the frost of fall really sets in, there’s still time to kick back, relax and enjoy the sounds and spirit of a gypsy summer through music, song and spoken word on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. when Damariscotta Open Mic (DOM) will be jamming and showcasing a diverse mix of music and verse in the Long Barn at Inn Along the Way’s, Chapman Farm, 741 Main St. in Damariscotta.
Artist performances, a chance to jam with friends, Inn tours and hay field walks are all part of the ambiance at this by donation Open Mic with a Twist fundraiser in support of the Inn Along the Way (IAW). The IAW model is a unique and innovative community design in which older adults live interdependently in a neighborhood-style setting of small, environmentally friendly homes.
Rusty Hinges, whose performance on the main stage will begin at 3:00 p.m., is a group of talented mid-coast Mainers who will be playing their eclectic repertoire, ranging from classic rock to country, bluegrass to the blues, folk to oldies-but-goodies.
