“The Meddler” Marnie has a new iPhone, an apartment near The Grove, and a comfortable bank account left to her by her beloved late husband. She has also happily relocated from New Jersey to Los Angeles to be near her daughter Lori, a successful screenwriter, to smother her with motherly love.

But when the dozens of texts, unexpected visits, and conversations dominated by unsolicited advice force Lori to draw strict personal boundaries, Marnie finds ways to channel her eternal optimism and forceful generosity to change the lives of others - as well as her own - and find a new purpose in life. “Love & Friendship” In the 18th century, Lady Susan Vernon (Kate Beckinsale) takes up temporary residence at her in-laws' estate and, while there, is determined to be a matchmaker for her daughter Frederica (Morfydd Clark) - and herself too. The seductive and manipulative Lady Susan uses devious tactics to win the heart of the eligible Reginald De Courcy (Xavier Samuel). The film is based on the Jane Austen novella, “Lady Susan.”

Also stars Emma Greenwell,  Jemma Redgrave, Tom Bennett, James Fleet, Justin Edwards, Jenn Murray, Stephen Fry, Chloë Sevigny.

“Miles Ahead” In Don Cheadle’s directorial debut, Miles Ahead tells the story of a few lost days in the life of Miles Davis (Don Cheadle), as he bursts out of his silent period, conspires with a Rolling Stone writer to steal back his music, and relives the years he had with his great love, Frances Taylor. As the official site notes, Miles Ahead is not just about the music. It's about what we all face at one time or another in our lives; questions about who we really are, what we have to say and how will we say it. How will we ultimately be defined and who gets to say so? Closes Thursday, June 16 at 3 p.m.

“Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story” A 2014 documentary will be screened about food waste, followed by discussion of existing resources and efforts in Lincoln County to reduce food waste and food insecurity. Presented by the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program. Playing Thursday, June 16 at 6 p.m. This is a free event.

“The Man Who Knew Infinity” The true story of friendship that forever changed mathematics. In 1913, Srinivasa Ramanujan (Dev Patel, “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”), a self-taught Indian mathematics genius, traveled to Trinity College, Cambridge, where over the course of five years, forged a bond with his mentor, the brilliant and eccentric professor, G.H. Hardy (Jeremy Irons), and fought against prejudice to reveal his mathematical genius to the world. Playing Friday, June 17 through Tuesday, June 21 at 3 and 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 22 at 3 p.m., Thursday, June 23 at 3 p.m.

Talking Art in Maine, Intimate Conversations: Katherine Bradford A series of intimate, one on one conversations between artist, Jane Dahmen, and notable artists and curators who have made a substantial contribution to the arts in the state of Maine. Katherine Bradford is an intuitive painter of rich, textural, luminous surfaces of visionary images which come from the subconscious or dreams. Wednesday, Jun 22 at 7 p.m. This is a free event.
