Share what you know – Teach a class at Adult Ed
Do you have a skill, hobby, or talent? Are you a local history buff? Share what you know by teaching a class at Boothbay Region Adult Ed. Or do you have an idea for a class you would like to teach? We are looking for people to teach a class or workshop during the fall 2016 semester. Share your knowledge or expertise with other adults in an informal setting — no teaching experience needed.
We are particularly looking for anyone who could give a talk about local or regional history. The Boothbay region presentations and talks that we have offered in previous years have been well attended by community members. A few examples of what has been offered are: Damariscove Island, Burnt Island Light, and Shipbuilding in the Boothbay Region.
What about a hobby or craft you enjoy doing? Or do you have a practical skill such as woodworking or easy home repairs? We are also interested in topics such as: healthy living, gardening, and holiday crafts or cooking.
Adult Ed offers a variety of classes for the community such as arts, crafts, music, language, cooking, gardening, computer, local history, and practical skills. Courses can be one, two evenings, or several evenings depending on the topic. Classes run Monday-Thursday evenings beginning the week after Columbus Day and ending early December.
We are currently scheduling classes for the fall class brochure that will be available in mid-September. Give us a call at 633-3224 (leave a message) or email: boothbayae@gwi.net
