Court security training completed

Lt. Michael Murphy and Transportation/Court Security Deputies Clayton Jordan and Brian Cromwell recently completed a 40 hour training course in Basic Court Security. The training was provided by Maine Judicial Marshalls at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.

Arrests

On April 30, Michael Hilgendorf, 62, of Boothbay was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on Pension Ridge Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Kenneth Hatch.

Traffic Citations

On April 29, Nickolas Ames, 23, of Wiscasset – Failing to display an inspection sticker – Rte. 96, East Boothbay – Sgt. Jason Nein.

On April 30, Richard Dowdy, 30, of Edgecomb – Speeding 73 MPH in a posted 50 MPH speed zone – Rte. 27, Boothbay – Sgt. Jason Nein.

Traffic Accidents

On April 30, an accident occurred on Biscay Road in Bremen involving Dustin J. Labrie, 23, of Wiscasset. Labrie was operating his 2001 GMC pickup truck southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the roadway and struck a ledge. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On April 30, an accident occurred on Eddy Road in Edgecomb involving Adrianna L. L’Heureux, 17, of Boothbay. L’Heureux was operating her 1996 Toyota Camry northbound when she entered a curve and failed to negotiate it, resulting in her striking the guardrail. Deputy Todd Chilton was the investigating officer.

On May 3, an accident occurred on West Neck Road in Nobleboro involving Elizabeth C. Owen, 57, of Nobleboro and Mona L. Sprague, 62, of Newcastle. Sprague was stopped at the stop sign in her 1999 Volvo 70 and was attempting to make a left turn to continue on Borland Hill Road. Owen, who was operating her 2012 Audi Q5, was making a left turn off of West Neck Road onto Borland Hill Road and stated she didn’t see Sprague entering the roadway. As a result Owen was unable to avoid Sprague’s vehicle and struck it in the front passenger corner. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
