Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

Arrests

On May 9, Joseph A. Gallagher, 57, of Edgecomb was arrested for Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution and Obstructing Government Administration, on Bath Road, Wiscasset, by Major Ken Mason, who was assisting Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline.

On May 9, Leo W. Barter Jr., 41, of Boothbay was arrested for Violating Condition of Release; Burglary and Criminal Mischief, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Accident

On May 10, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Whitefield involving Dana A. Ginnett, 47, of Augusta. Ginnett was operating his 2002 Subaru Forester eastbound when a deer ran in front of his vehicle and was struck. Deputy Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.
